The plains

Zega was asleep in a lonely tree which was sheltering him. He snored loudly as he kept sleeping as he loved the silence of these lands.

Brook awoke in her slightly below ground warm rock den. She got up and ruffled her fur and feathers, as she yawned. Brook's stomach growled and she decided to hunt. As she crawled out of her den, she let in the fresh spring breeze. When She got out completely, she shook some of the tall grass from her bedding, then she started walking north east. Brook found a puddle of fresh water, then drank some mouthfuls. She continued to walk, sniffing the air for prey scents.

(yes it is Spring, so yeah)

Zega open his eyes as he could hear a noise but he laughed as it was his stomach. He then flew out of the tree and went hunting he spotted a fox and smiled he doved down and grabbed the neck of the fox as he smashed it down on a rock that was conviently on the ground. The fox yelped before it died and then Zega began to eat.

Brook heard a fox yelp come from somewhere and she moved closer to it, it was only until she saw it that she noticed another hyffon had caught it. She took a step closer growling and she came closer.

Zega looked around at the growling and notice the other hyffon.
"You wanna share?"

Brook stopped growling and waited a moment thinking. Should I? Though it might be a trap... her thoughts trailed off as her stomach growled. "O-kay..." she said carefully padding up to the other hyffon.

"I will give you room don't worry."
Zega went back to eating but he moved to the side so the other Hyffon could have room to eat.

Brook came up to the fresh-kill and took off a peice. She swallowed, then turned to the other hyffon,"Thank you." she said thoughtfully. She took a few more mouthfuls before she was ful enough for the day, leaving the rest of the fox to the other hyffon, which was more than she had eaten.

Zega was full as he then ran off to catch up to the hyffon.
"So what your name?"

Brook hesitated, then answered,"My name is Brook."

"That a nice name. My name is Zega."
Zega said with a smile.

She smiled,"So, Zega," she started,"that's your name?"

(I don't know what to put X))

"Yes is that a problem?"

"Oh, no its fine." Brook responded quickly. She doesn't have anything planed to do that day, so talking was a nice way to pass the time.

"So where have you been living in the plains?"
Zega sat down.

"I've been living in a small den just south of here" Brook said sitting down.

"I live in that tree over there."
Zega pointed at the lonely tree.

"That must be nice, though you do have to keep your balance." she said in amusement.

"Well I been able to hollow out the middle of the tree into a bowl shape so I can sleep fine. It atleast keeps predators away."
Zega smiled.

"yeah, that would work." Brook said with a smile. "The entrance to mine is big enough for me to go through, but not any predators."

"Can I see?"
Zega said curious.

"Okay" Brook said as she got up. "Its this way." She said pointing in the direction.

"Well let us be off."
Zega got up and walked.

Brook walked with Zega at a normal pace looking at the scenery. The grass was flatend and dry from the winter snow, and the few trees and bushes already have buds and a few fall leaves still hanging on and withered. The soil was crumbly and firm, and there were still some withered leaves and old heather from the fall. Brook's fur and feathers felt warm from the sun and the fresh breezes felt clean and welcoming for spring. Her den wasn't far from there now.
